2mm thick Stainless steel cooler brackets with G8.8 bolts. Bolts to existing holes and does not require drilling or screwing into vehicle.
Davies Craig / PWR 678 Cooler kit. Comes with hose clamps and oil cooler hose.
1.5m of 3/8" oil cooler hose. Extra hose that is required to install.
Allow about 1-2 hours for installation.
You will also require 300mL of AT fluid to fill the cooler and lines.
Should I install the cooler before or after the factory cooler?
The short answer is that before or after the radiator will work.
The return line is the bottom hose. This was confirmed after the videos were made and there is a note in the video description correcting this.
Using the bottom line will place the cooler after the radiator as per Davies Craig recommendation.
Both the Prado and FJ are connected to the top line and performance of the coolers have been consistent with expectations. I.e. 20-30 reduction in ATF temp.
Barbs down may cause an air lock and not allow the cooler to fill completely, reducing efficiency.
